Chiefs Hammered by Potts, Drop Game 4 to River Bandits | The Quad Cities River Bandits defeated the Peoria Chiefs, 13-4 in Game 4 of the Round 3 today. Making an impact was third baseman Hudson Potts, who went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win moves Quad Cities into a 2-2 tie with Peoria in the series.
The River Bandits took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out, Jackson Lueck hit a grand slam home run off Peoria pitcher Jason Reynolds, putting Quad Cities in front, 11-2. For the game, Lueck went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
Lueck called the triumph "a good team win."
The next game is scheduled for Sunday in Peoria. Slated to start are Reid Detmers for the Quad Cities River Bandits and Josh Maciejewski for the the Peoria Chiefs.
