2-0 Loss Extends New Hampshire Skid
|
Andrew Sopko pitched well, but his team, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, still dropped a 2-0 decision to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The Fisher Cats fall to 11-14 and continue their uneven start to the 2021 season.
The Fisher Cats had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Rumble Ponies going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old catcher Endy Rodriguez came to the plate. Rodriguez hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch curveball from New Hampshire hurler Andrew Sopko. It was Rodriguez's 2nd home run of the year.
"We did just enough to win," Rodriguez said.
