|
Storm Chasers catcher MJ Melendez put his stamp on his team's 8-3 win over the Toledo Mud Hens. Melendez was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Omaha in the contest. Their 31-26 record puts the Storm Chasers second in the Midwest Division.
Zack Short, who is tied for 6th in the in triples with 3, helped out the Omaha cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Melendez told the Omaha News.
