| Mahtook, Chihuahuas Beat Isotopes, 5-2 | The exploits of center fielder Mikie Mahtook helped the El Paso Chihuahuas defeat the Albuquerque Isotopes, 5-2. Mahtook went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. El Paso reliever Dauris Valdez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Tommy Doyle absorbed the loss. Albuquerque is 4-4 after the defeat.
In the bottom of the eighth, Mahtook put his team in front with his 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Tommy Doyle, made it 5-2, El Paso.
