Senators Knock Off Altoona, 9-7
|
Ben Carew was a major contributor to the 9-7 Harrisburg win over Altoona. The Senators center fielder was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Harrisburg reliever Andrew Lee was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Hans Crouse. Jacob Condra-Bogan closed it out for his 6th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Harrisburg, had it not been for Cole Roederer, the 21-year old center fielder . Roederer contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Harrisburg up, 6-4.
"We'll take this win and move on," said Carew.
The 5th-place Senators are 25-22.
