| Express Nip Dodgers, 3-2 | The Round Rock Express had to overcome a fine performance from Oklahoma City pitcher Parker Curry to grab a 3-2 win at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Curry allowed 1 run over 6.1 innings. Reliever Adam McCreery picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Shea Spitzbarth took the loss. The first-place Dodgers have lost 4 straight games.
Round Rock used the timely hitting of Eric Jenkins to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Express on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Afterward, Express manager Darwin Barney was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
