Baysox Best Flying Squirrels in Pitching Duel
|
Leonardo Rodriguez was outstanding against Richmond. The right-hander had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Baysox 2-0 win. In 5 innings, Rodriguez surrendered no hits, while striking out 10 and walking 7. He allowed no runs. The Baysox, at 35-37, sit in 4th place in the Southwest Division.
Bowie took a 2-0 lead on Doran Turchin's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Richmond pitcher Yusniel Padron-Artilles in the bottom of the seventh.
Turchin called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
