RoughRiders Win Thriller, 4-3
|
The Frisco RoughRiders topped the Amarillo Sod Poodles, 4-3, with left fielder Cal Stevenson playing a big role. Stevenson was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the RoughRiders in the win. Frisco reliever Matt Foster picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Reymin Guduan was tagged with the loss. The RoughRiders improve their record to 13-16 with the win over Amarillo.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Stevenson hit a changeup from Reymin Guduan for a run-scoring single. The RoughRiders, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This place was electric at the end," Stevenson said.
