The Montgomery Biscuits had to overcome a good performance from Rocket City pitcher Jason Creasy to claim a 3-2 win at Toyota Field. Creasy went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Brett De Geus, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save. The Trash Pandas, at 31-23, have lost 6 in a row.
Montgomery needed the clutch hitting of Sam Huff to notch the win. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Biscuits on top, 3-2. For the game, Huff had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Huff.
