The Wichita Wind Surge knocked off the Midland RockHounds, 7-2, at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Gilberto Celestino was a big reason Wichita won. The right fielder went 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. Blayne Enlow, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 2-6. Ryan Mason recorded the save, his 1st.

Wichita took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Celestino hit a solo home run. His 10th home run of the season made the score 3-2, Wichita.

Celestino told a Wichita Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The Wind Surge improve their record to 34-45 with the win over Midland.
