Dayton and Great Lakes duked it out and the Dragons came out victorious.

Dayton shortstop Ivan Johnson contributed to his team's 4-1 win over the Great Lakes Loons. Johnson, who is tied for 2nd in the with a 1.009 OPS, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Dragons. Picking up the save was Nelson Smith, his 4th.

With Dayton leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Johnson came up to bat against Great Lakes pitcher Carson Montgomery. Johnson hit a fastball to left for a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Dragons on top, 4-0.

Johnson attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."

The 5th-place Loons have dropped 5 straight games.
