| Loons Knock Off TinCaps, 4-2 | The Great Lakes Loons got a strong performance from pitcher Carson Montgomery, who stymied the Fort Wayne offense en route to a win, 4-2, at LoanMart Field. Great Lakes goes to 54-51, Fort Wayne to 41-64.
Tied up with the TinCaps in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Loons got a boost from third baseman Luke Heyer. With a runner on 3rd, Heyer saw a 2-1 changeup from Evan Kravetz and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Great Lakes on top, 2-1.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Heyer said.
