Storm Come Up Short at Stockton, 2-1
Stockton rode a fine outing from starter Jose Dicochea to victory over the Lake Elsinore Storm at Cooley Law School Stadium. The final score was 2-1. The winner in relief was Wandisson Charles. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. The save went to Dallas Woolfolk, his 2nd this season.

Stockton grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Danny Bautista delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Ports.

"Every loss hurts," said Lake Elsinore manager Norberto Martin. "But this was a tough one."

The third-place Ports now have a win-loss record of 17-13.
