The Lake Elsinore Storm overcame a good performance by Rancho Cucamonga second baseman Zac Ching to knock off Rancho Cucamonga, 9-7, at Dow Diamond. Ching went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Lake Elsinore reliever Anton Kuznetsov picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Jesus Bucan shouldered the loss. The triumph makes Lake Elsinore 20-39.

Lake Elsinore relied on the bat of Matt McGarry to get the win. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Storm ahead, 8-7. For the game, McGarry had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
