6 Straight Wins for Red Sox
|
Salem shortstop Brainer Bonaci contributed to his team's 8-4 win over the Delmarva Shorebirds. Bonaci, who is tied for 2nd in the in doubles with 21, went 4 for 6 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Red Sox. The win was credited to Francisco Crispin in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Tyler Blomster took the loss. Luis Perales recorded the save, his 4th.
It could have been a different outcome for Salem, had it not been for Rylan Thomas, the 23-year old third baseman . Thomas contributed a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put Salem up, 7-4.
"We take it day by day here," said Thomas, "and today was a good one for us."
This win makes it 6 in a row for Salem.
