Starting pitcher Nick Garcia pitched well enough to help the Lynchburg Hillcats beat the Fredericksburg Nationals, 4-3. Lynchburg pitcher Donato Auguste got the win, upping his record to 6-3. Collin Liberatore got the loss. Lynchburg has an impressive 39-18 record.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the 11th, with Lynchburg trailing 3-2, Ulysses Cantu hit a fastball from Collin Liberatore for a 2-run home run, giving the Hillcats the walk-off win.

Cantu said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
