The Salem Red Sox got a superb performance from first baseman Greg Pickett, but the Lynchburg Hillcats still won the game, 4-3. Pickett was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times. Skylar Arias converted his 13th save in 14 tries. With the win, Lynchburg pushed its record to 42-20.
