| Red Sox Lose Late, 6-4 | Salem left fielder Eduardo Vaughan had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Vaughan went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, even as Lynchburg beat the Red Sox, 6-4. Lynchburg reliever Giovanni Lopez picked up the win to move to 8-1. Luis Perales suffered the loss. Lynchburg has an impressive 68-31 record.
Jared Janczak made it 6-4 in favor of Lynchburg when he delivered a 2-run single. It came with two out in the top of the ninth. The Hillcats went on to win.
"It feels good to get this one," Janczak told the Lynchburg Today.
