Tourists Beat RiverDogs, 4-1

The first-place Asheville Tourists picked up another win.
The Asheville Tourists topped the Charleston RiverDogs, 4-1, in South Atlantic League action at McCormick Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Asheville pitcher Carson Kruger. The winning pitcher was Kruger, now 3-2. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 10.
The Tourists got a big hit from second baseman Ramiro Magana. In the bottom of the sixth, Magana pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 11th home run of the season put the Tourists ahead, 4-1.
"Carson did a tremendous job," said Asheville manager Al Richardson.
Asheville has an impressive 53-25 record.
