Fireflies Walk It Off for 42nd Win of Season
Spirit Communications Park was host to some action-packed drama.

A 3-RBI performance from third baseman Elijah Brooks led the Columbia Fireflies to a win over the Greenville Drive, 6-4. Columbia reliever Charley Schumer was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Keegan James took the loss.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Brooks hit a fastball from Keegan James for a 2-run home run. The Fireflies, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This place was rocking at the end," Brooks said.

The triumph puts Columbia at 42-38 for the season.
