Shorebirds Get 10th Straight Win with Late Rally

The Delmarva Shorebirds did just enough to secure a victory over the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, 3-2, at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Cody Bradford. Delmarva reliever Kelsey Reilly picked up the win, upping his record to 6-3. Júlio Reyes shouldered the loss. Delmarva has now won 10 straight.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Delmarva left fielder Bill Godfrey, facing Christian Williams, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Shorebirds the 3-2 win.
In postgame remarks, Shorebirds manager Travis Wood praised his team for their performance during their current winning streak. "Let the good times roll," he said.
