Crawdads Squelch Shorebirds Offense in Shutout Win
The Delmarva Shorebirds got a sterling performance from pitcher Tony Salas, but the Hickory Crawdads still prevailed, 6-0. Salas came in in relief and pitched to 19 batters. Reliever Pete Smith picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. CJ Weins took the loss. The triumph puts Hickory at 66-27 for the season.

The Crawdads picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
