The Columbia Fireflies picked up a win at Lake Olmstead Stadium, taking down the Augusta GreenJackets, 3-1. Starting pitcher Connor Prielipp was a big reason why. Charley Schumer earned his 13th save in 13 chances. Columbia now has a record of 53-42 with the win.

It could have been a different outcome for Columbia, had it not been for Fletcher Calhoun, the 23-year old second baseman . Calhoun contributed a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put Columbia up, 2-0.

Calhoun said his team "played with determination."
