Kannapolis Slaps 4-1 Loss on Crawdads
|
Kannapolis starter Michael Prosecky put a stranglehold on the Hickory offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Cannon Ballers to a 4-1 win. Prosecky picked up the win for Kannapolis, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. Paul Johnston was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 7 save opportunities.
Kannapolis used the timely hitting of Kenni Gomez to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cannon Ballers ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We did a lot of things right," said Prosecky.
With the win, Kannapolis upped its record to 73-64.
