Peoria Makes It 7 Straight with 4-3 Win
The Peoria Chiefs had to overcome a fine effort from Wisconsin pitcher Ben Cruikshank to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Cruikshank went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Peoria reliever Héctor García picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. TJ Nichols was saddled with the loss. The wins continue to add up for Peoria, with the latest making it 7 in a row.

The outcome might have been different for Peoria, had it not been for Carlos Flores, the 22-year old left fielder . Flores stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Peoria up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Peoria skipper Mitch Canham. "I can't complain."
