The Kane County Cougars beat the South Bend Cubs, 8-4, at O'Brien Field. Carlos Ramírez, in particular, was impressive. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times. Eduardo Moreno recorded his 3rd save for Kane County. Kane County has now won 6 straight.

Kane County used the timely hitting of Conner Wade to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cougars on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ramírez.
