Inland Empire third baseman Jackson Holliday was sensational. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Visalia beat the 66ers, 4-3. Jeffrey Fletcher got the save, his 19th in 22 chances. At 59-72, Visalia is in last place in the North.
Visalia grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Enrique Velázquez delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Rawhide.
After the game, Visalia manager Trent Jewett applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
