The Visalia Rawhide went down to defeat to Carter Holton and his Bakersfield teammates. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Blaze. The 4th-place Blaze sport a record of 64-71.

The Rawhide had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Blaze going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old shortstop Gabriel Rodriguez came to the plate. Rodriguez hit a 2-run home run on a 2-2 fastball from Visalia hurler Lincoln Galloway. It was Rodriguez's 5th home run of the year.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Rodriguez.
