The Lake Elsinore Storm trumped the Bakersfield Blaze, 10-7, at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Lake Elsinore third baseman Alika Williams was terrific. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Connor Shamblin notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Williams delivered big-time for Lake Elsinore, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Cade Halemanu. The game-changing hit put the Storm on top, 9-7.
