5 Straight Wins for Blue Wahoos

The Jackson Generals got a superb performance from pitcher Mithcell Leidner. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Pensacola. The Blue Wahoos won the game, 4-3. Leidner threw 5.0 innings allowing 1 runs. The win puts Pensacola at 65-52 this season.
Pensacola used the timely hitting of Aaron Garvey Jr. to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Wahoos on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I was a little disappointed," said Jackson manager Jayson King. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
