The Batavia Muckdogs picked up a win at Falcon Park, knocking off the Auburn Doubledays, 6-3. Starting pitcher Mike Short was a big reason why. The Doubledays fall to 4-6 and continue their wobbly start to the 2023 season.

Batavia took the lead in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Christian Encarnacion-Strand stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Muckdogs.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Encarnacion-Strand.
