Rangers Hang 8-1 Loss on Reds
The Surprise (TEX) Rangers trumped the Goodyear (CIN) Reds, 8-1, at Surprise Stadium. Surprise (TEX) shortstop Nate Fitzgibbons was terrific. He went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jordan Holtz picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 2-1. Thomas Balboni got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Mason Neville dealt the Reds a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Surprise (TEX) leading 1-0, Neville, who is tied for 8th in the ARL in home runs with 2, hit a 0-1 changeup for a 2-run single.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Fitzgibbons told the Surprise (TEX) Times.

Surprise (TEX) has now won 3 straight, while the Reds have lost 3 in a row.
