7 Straight Wins for Angels

A good performance from right fielder Travis Honeyman helped the Tempe Angels defeat the Surprise (KC) Royals, 8-3. Honeyman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Angels. Tempe reliever Evan Justice picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Montana Semmel was saddled with the loss. The Royals, now 7-11, have lost 5 in a row.
Tempe used the clutch hitting of Jonny Farmelo to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Angels the lead, 5-3. For the game, Farmelo had 3 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Honeyman told the Tempe News.
