White Sox Take Down Rangers, 3-2
|
The Glendale (CHW) White Sox beat the Surprise (TEX) Rangers, 3-2, at Surprise Stadium. The win was due in part to first baseman Carl Coffey, who was 4-7 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Francisco Rivera picked up the save for Glendale (CHW), his 1st of the year. The White Sox go to 17-19, putting them third in the Central.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 13th, until Coffey delivered big-time for Glendale (CHW), stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Jared Neuheisel. The game-changing hit put the White Sox on top, 3-2.
"We put together a nice win," Coffey said.
