The Kissimmee Astros outlasted Kelly Bryant and the Port St. Lucie Mets, 8-7. Bryant was impressive in the loss. The Port St. Lucie center fielder was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Jay Pate. He is now 2-0. The left-hander allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. Zach Mahan got the save, the 4th for him this season.

Kissimmee used a timely hit from Jack Hurley to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Astros ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Winning never gets dull," said Hurley.

The victory puts Kissimmee at 9-13.
