Orioles Prevail, 1-0, Over Tampa (NYY)
|
The Sarasota Orioles went home winners at Ed Smith Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Henry Morgan. Morgan stifled the Tampa (NYY) Yankees 1, enabling Sarasota to grab the 1-0 win. Connor Pellerin closed the door for Sarasota, picking up his 5th save of the year. Tampa (NYY) has now lost 6 consecutive games.
The Orioles got a big at-bat from first baseman Jesse Abner. For the game, Abner was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 7th double of the season gave Sarasota a 1-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Abner.
