Port St. Lucie Topples Port Charlotte, 4-1

The Port St. Lucie Mets beat the Port Charlotte Rays, 4-1, at Tradition Field. Starting pitcher Marc Schroeder was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Schroeder picked up the win for Port St. Lucie, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Adam Smith picked up the save, his 2nd.
In the bottom of the third, Port St. Lucie third baseman B.J. Dreisewerd had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Dreisewerd stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Port St. Lucie. For the game, he was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
