Fort Myers (MIN) Twins starter Cade Smith was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Port Charlotte Rays, 7-3. Sam Highfill got credit for the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Fort Myers (MIN) is now riding a 3-game win streak.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Peyton Chatagnier was at the plate when Fort Myers (MIN) scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Twins to go in front, 4-3.
