The Port Charlotte Rays got a strong performance from pitcher Johnny Allen, who stymied the Fort Myers (BOS) offense en route to a win, 4-2, at JetBlue Park at Fenway South. Gustavo Peña earned the save for Port Charlotte, his 10th of the year. With the victory, the Rays upped their record to 24-17.

Port Charlotte used a well-timed hit by Henry Bolte to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rays ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Allen.
