The Lake Nona Rockies got a strong performance from pitcher Maddox Kopp, who stymied the Port St. Lucie offense en route to a win, 4-2, at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The winning pitcher was Kopp, now 5-0. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Jonathan Diebler earned the save for Lake Nona, his 11th of the year.

Ben Shtolzberg drove in one run for Lake Nona. The 20-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Marc Schroeder. It was his 16th RBI of the season.

"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Kopp.

The winning continues for Lake Nona, with the latest making it 7 straight.
