Frisco RoughRiders starter J.D. Shockley pitched his team past the Amarillo Sod Poodles, 2-0. Hayden Juenger earned his 33rd save in 35 chances.

Shockley, a native of College Park, Georgia, was dealing all game. He kept Amarillo hitters off-balance, while giving the RoughRiders 7.1 quality innings. Shockley threw 88 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 5.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Shockley told the Frisco Chronicle.

Frisco improves to 85-44 with the win. They lead their division by 14½ games.
