Scottsdale (SF) used a superb performance from starting pitcher Andrew Walling to down the Tempe Angels, 6-1. The win elevated the Giants to 32-20.
It could have been a different outcome for Scottsdale (SF), had it not been for Jack Matheson, the 21-year old left fielder . Matheson contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Scottsdale (SF) up, 3-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Matheson told the Scottsdale (SF) Gazette.
