Indians Win Thriller, 6-5

The Goodyear (CLE) Indians topped the Surprise (KC) Royals, 6-5, in Arizona League action at Surprise Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Goodyear (CLE) pitcher Jacob Zibin. José García picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-1. Carter Smolinski was tagged with the loss. The third-place Indians improved to 26-29.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Goodyear (CLE) second baseman Kamren Jones, facing Carter Smolinski, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Indians the 6-5 win.
"This wasn't a good win," said Zibin. "It was a great win."
