Goodyear (CIN) Reds starter Mario Ybáñez turned in an exceptional performance against the Surprise (KC) Royals at Surprise Stadium, resulting in a Goodyear (CIN) win, 5-2. Juan González recorded his 3rd save for Goodyear (CIN). Goodyear (CIN) now has a 3-game win streak.

Freili Encarnacion, the 18-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Encarnacion contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Goodyear (CIN) up, 3-1.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Encarnacion told the Goodyear (CIN) Chronicle.
