Nationals Edge Past Rockies, 1-0
|
Viera Nationals starter José Sepúlveda pitched his team past the Lake Nona Rockies, 1-0. Reliever Garrett Ramsey picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Brody Jessee took the loss. The victory puts Viera at 17-38.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Viera pinch hitter Shawn Peterson, facing Brody Jessee, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Nationals the 1-0 win.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Peterson, "one at-bat at a time."
