Home Field Advantage: Fitzsymons, Frisco Open Championship with Win
The Frisco RoughRiders powered past the visiting Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 3-2, in the opener of the Championship at Dr Pepper Ballpark today. Frisco starting pitcher Jeff Fitzsymons threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs, to lead the charge. The RoughRiders now lead the series 1-0.

In the bottom of the fifth, Frisco center fielder Judd Brown had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out, Brown stroked a 2-run double to right. It made the score 2-0, Frisco. For the game, he went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Northwest Arkansas manager Chad Kreuter said following the tough loss.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco.
