Frisco Tops Northwest Arkansas Again, 8-1
The Frisco RoughRiders got a strong performance from pitcher Jonathan Stiever, who stymied the visiting Northwest Arkansas Naturals en route to a win, 8-1, in Game 2 of the Championship today. The Naturals could never get a bead on the right-handed Stiever, who threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The RoughRiders now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

In the bottom of the third, Frisco left fielder Joe Walter had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Walter stroked a 2-run double to right. It made the score 2-0, Frisco. For the game, he was 1-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.

"It's a mindset," said Stiever. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."

Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale.
