Almost There: Peoria (SEA) On Cusp of Championship Triumph After 3-1 Win
A strong performance from pitcher A.J. Blubaugh was not enough for the Scottsdale (SF) Giants, who were stopped by the visiting Peoria (SEA) Mariners, 3-1, in Game 4 of the Championship. The Mariners never truly figured out the right-handed Blubaugh, who threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs. Still, the Mariners now hold a 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Jay Beshears hit a run-scoring double off A.J. Blubaugh in the bottom of the first, which put the Mariners in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Beshears had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"Everything is so stressful now," Beshears said. "I was just trying not to trip on my way up to the plate."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria.
