Glassford Blasts Nuts, Giants Take Game 3, 7-3
The San Jose Giants moved to within one game of the Championship today, downing the visiting Modesto Nuts at San Jose Municipal Stadium by a score of 7-3. Giants third baseman Logan Glassford did some major damage. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win gives the Giants a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

The Giants took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning. Facing Modesto hurler Mat Latos with one out, Glassford hit a 2-run double.

"Things broke our way today and that's great," Giants manager Chris Tracz said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at San Jose Municipal Stadium in San Jose.
