Wilson, Bees Sink Cougars Again in Game 2
Riding the 2-hit performance of designated hitter Ethan Wilson, the Burlington Bees got a road win against the Kane County Cougars, 13-2, in Game 2 of the Round 1 today. Wilson was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for the Bees, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 0.

Burlington relied on the bat of Colson Montgomery to get the win. The second baseman ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the third inning to put the Bees ahead, 3-0. For the game, Montgomery had 1 double and 1 triple in 3 at-bats.

"This was a good win for us," said Wilson. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 10th , 2023 at Community Field in Burlington.
